I’m going to be honest and say I never thought this would actually happen. The idea of running a blog has been with me for about a year now, but I kept coming up with excuses for putting it off. But now feels like no better time than this brand new year!
That being said, Hello beautiful people! Allow me to introduce myself. I am Brandi Nicole. I’m a big fan of all things Michael Jackson, panda, food, video game and reptile. I’m a pretty simple girl.
I’ve been acting for almost seven years now and it’s one of the most rewarding passions I have aside from cooking. As a matter of fact, when I’m not at work, you can find me either in the kitchen or looking up recipes. Speaking of work, I work at a daycare...and no it is not stopping me from wanting a baby one day.
As for my family...My dad is a retired marine, but he’ll tell you: “Once a marine, always a marine.” Literally almost everything he owns has a Marine Corps emblem on it. He’s a pretty simple man as well. He likes sports, soft pretzels from his hometown of Philly, and cars. I cannot emphasize to you how much money my family has saved from him taking care of most car maintenance, after watching Youtube videos of course.
My mom is probably where I get my creative gene from. From time to time, you will see me talking about the cool stuff she makes and promoting her business. She specializes in personalized gifts. And yes, her prices are good. She’s also the one who started my passion for cooking, years and years ago--we’ll get to that another day.
My older sister, Bri, is an interesting one. With three jobs, I sometimes find myself saying “I don’t need this, my sister has three jobs!” when I get frustrated at work. We currently have more than a dozen reptiles living in our house with us, all with names and personalities. In fact, she’s the one who started my whole obsession with reptiles when she bought me a baby bearded dragon for my birthday two years ago. His name is MJ, and yes he is named after the king of pop. Sometimes he likes to get spruced up and go on dates with Venus, my sister’s beardie. She’s also a makeup guru, so whenever you see my face beat you can thank her.
My brother, Brian, is the middle child. He’s a man of few words, but his few words are probably the funniest you’ll hear in a day. He’s the athlete of the family and often tries to teach me about football and basketball. Don’t get me wrong, I like both sports. But I don’t really pay attention to the rules; I just like seeing cute guys running up and down the field and court. Sue me. Anyway, you can find him at Best Buy. So if you’re in the Peachtree City area and you need to upgrade your phone, go see my brother!
Nine times out of ten, you will see me share funny stories about my family on this blog. We’re a funny bunch, and I think we need a reality show. I bet you would laugh.
Now that you know a little about me, I hope you stick around. I promise you sometimes I’m funny and sometimes I say smart stuff. You’ll just have to wait and see.
I have two simple prayers:
at least one blogpost helps you or makes you laugh
that 2018 and the years after are filled with peace and blessings
That pretty much covers everything. Thank you so much for giving me a chance! Stay blessed!
